🐟 PINK TAIL CHALCEUS 🌎 Origin: South America — Amazon & Orinoco river basins 📏 Adult Size: 8–10 inches (20–25 cm) 🏠 Tank Size: 4 ft ; larger tank is better for active adults 🌡️ Temperature: 24–28°C 💧 pH: 6.0–7.5 ⚡ Temperament: Active, fast-moving; generally peaceful but may chase/eat very small fish. Best kept in groups. ⏳ Lifespan: Around 8–10+ years with proper care 🍤 Feeding: Quality carnivore pellets, shrimp, insects, bloodworms and other meaty foods. Feed 1–2 times daily in suitable portions. 🐠 Tank Mates: • Silver Dollar • Congo Tetra • Mono Angel • Tinfoil Barb • Clown Loach • Larger Rainbowfish • Peaceful medium-sized Cichlids 🪨 Tank Setup & Care: • Long aquarium with plenty of open swimming space • Secure, tight-fitting lid — excellent jumpers! • Moderate water flow and strong filtration • Sand or fine gravel substrate • Driftwood, rocks and hardy plants around the sides/back • Keep water clean with regular water changes • Preferably keep 6+ specimens together to reduce stress and encourage natural schooling behaviour. 💙 AAF Tips: Pink Tail Chalceus is a high-speed, surface-oriented schooling fish.
