🐟 FATHER FISH (FATHER CICHLID) 🌎 Origin: Central America — mainly Nicaragua, Costa Rica & nearby river systems 📏 Adult Size: Around 8–10 inches (20–25 cm) 🏠 Tank Size: 75 gallons+ for an adult; larger is better for a pair 🌡️ Temperature: 24–28°C 💧 pH: 6.8–8.0 ⚡ Temperament: Semi-aggressive to aggressive, especially during breeding ⏳ Lifespan: Around 8–12 years with proper care 🍤 Feeding: Quality cichlid pellets, prawns, bloodworms and other meaty foods; feed 1–2 times daily in controlled portions 🐠 Tank Mates: Large, robust cichlids and similarly sized fish such as Oscar, Jack Dempsey, Severum,Uaru and large Plecos—only with adequate space and careful monitoring 🪨 Tank Setup & Care: Use a spacious tank with strong filtration, good oxygenation, rocks, caves and driftwood. Provide open swimming space and secure decorations because they may rearrange the substrate.
