🐟 Chinese Red Perch 🌎 Origin: China; freshwater rivers, lakes & reservoirs 📏 Adult Size: 14-18 inch 🏠 Tank Size: Minimum 4 ft tank for an adult; larger is better 🌡️ Temperature: 20–26°C 💧 pH: 6.5–8.0 ⚡ Temperament: Predatory; generally peaceful with fish it cannot swallow, but may eat smaller tank mates ⏳ Lifespan: Around 10–15+ years with proper care 🍤 Feeding: Carnivorous — quality predator pellets, prawns/shrimp, fish fillets and other meaty foods. 🐠 Tank Mates: Large, robust fish of similar size; avoid small fish, shrimp and slow-moving species that can fit in its mouth 🪨 Tank Setup & Care: Spacious aquarium with strong biological filtration, good oxygenation and moderate water movement. Provide open swimming space with some rocks/driftwood for cover. Maintain excellent water quality and perform regular water changes.
