🐟 ANGEL FISH 🌎 Origin: South America — Amazon, Orinoco & Essequibo river basins 📏 Adult Size: Up to 6 inches body length, with fins reaching 8–10 inches tall 🏠 Tank Size: Minimum 2ft for a pair; larger tank recommended for groups 🌡️ Temperature: 25–30°C 💧 pH: 6.0–7.5 ⚡ Temperament: Generally peaceful, but can become territorial and semi-aggressive when breeding ⏳ Lifespan: Around 8–10 years, sometimes longer with excellent care 🍤 Feeding: High-quality cichlid pellets, flakes, bloodworms, brine shrimp and occasional frozen foods. Feed 1–2 times daily in controlled portions. 🐠 Tank Mates: • Cardinal Tetra (adult angels only; risk with small tetras) • Rummy Nose Tetra • Corydoras • Bristlenose Pleco • Pearl Gourami • Lemon Tetra • Black Skirt Tetra 🪨 Tank Setup & Care: • Tall aquarium is ideal because of their long fins • Use fine sand or smooth gravel • Add driftwood and live plants such as Amazon Sword and Anubias • Provide open swimming space with some shaded areas • Use efficient filtration with moderate water flow • Maintain excellent water quality and perform 25–30% weekly water changes • Avoid keeping them with fin-nippers or very aggressive fish 💙 AAF Tips: 👉 Angel Fish are tall-bodied cichlids, so tank height matters more than just length. 👉 Keep juveniles in a group if you want pairs to form naturally. 👉 Never mix adult Angel Fish with tiny fish they can swallow. 👉 Stable, clean water + quality food = better growth, colour and longevity
